A visionary artist and humanist, Nicolas Roerich is renown for his spectacular paintings of Himalayan landscapes. In the first part of the book, “Expedition through Central Asia”, he recounts his expedition of almost five years in the countries of Central Asia and describes daily life in the Himalayas.
