Max Reger (1873-1916) is a true icon of organ music. Despite his untimely early passing, he left behind a remarkable musical oeuvre encompassing all genres: chamber music, symphonies, concerti, vocal music, works for soloists... What he produced for the organ comprises 28 opuses which constitutes a monumental body of work. Despite being one of the great composers of the Germanic organ school, and highly appreciated by the Anglo-Saxons, he was for a long time shunned by French organists.
